KYC, Accreditation & Compliance

Why identity verification matters, what accreditation levels mean for your investment limits, and how JengaFi meets international regulatory requirements.

JengaFi operates within a regulated framework designed to protect both investors and the integrity of the platform. This means every user goes through identity verification, and your accreditation level determines how much you can invest.

While compliance processes can feel bureaucratic, they exist for a critical reason: to ensure that only verified, legitimate investors participate, and that every dollar flowing through the platform is traceable and lawful.

What is KYC?

KYC stands for Know Your Customer. It's a standard process used by financial institutions worldwide to verify the identity of their clients. On JengaFi, KYC involves submitting a government-issued photo ID (passport, national ID, or driver's licence) and completing a brief investor questionnaire.

The process typically takes under 5 minutes to complete. Once your identity is verified, your KYC status is updated and you can begin investing. You can track your verification status from your dashboard settings.

Accreditation Levels

Your accreditation level determines your investment limits on the platform. JengaFi uses a tiered accreditation system:

  • check_circleBasic — For new investors completing standard KYC. Suitable for getting started with smaller allocations.
  • check_circleVerified — For investors who have completed enhanced due diligence, including proof of income or net worth documentation.
  • check_circleAccredited — For investors who meet formal accredited investor criteria under applicable securities regulations. Higher investment limits and access to select opportunities.

AML Compliance

Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance is integrated into every layer of the JengaFi platform. All transactions are monitored, flagged activity is reviewed, and the platform maintains a complete audit log of every action — from login attempts to investment confirmations to payout requests.

Every financial transaction is recorded in a double-entry ledger, ensuring that fund flows are fully traceable and reconcilable at all times.

Document Verification

All investor documents (ID verification, accreditation certificates, tax forms) are securely stored and linked to your investor profile. You can upload, download, and manage your documents from the dashboard at any time.

JengaFi also stores key legal documents for every project — offering memorandums, SPV shareholders' agreements, valuation reports, and quarterly financial statements — all accessible from the project detail page.

Compliance isn't just a checkbox — it's the foundation that makes institutional-grade investing possible for everyone. JengaFi's verification processes protect you and every other investor on the platform.
